Curve subdivision
An object composed of a lot of long curves packed together (like a hairdo) can be slow to render. In this case, adding more vertices by curve may speed up the rendering.

When rendering the curves with GI, consider the following optimizations :
- Use the minimal
Curves > Diffuse/Specular > Depth possible. - Reduce the
Curves > Diffuse/Specular > Ray Length attribute. - Remove the curve objects from the Diffuse and the Reflection set.
